Simon Yirmeyahu is the Sharpies’ lighting designer. A Sephardic-Mizrahi student, he gives the group’s changing music a visible shape. At the Times Square final, his cues answer Aviva’s voice, Oksana’s violin and the full ensemble without hiding their faces. When Yuki and Aviva bring him an unapproved Freedom Tango cue, he weighs the risk and prepares it. His quiet decisions help turn a rehearsal into a show.
